Golden Diamond Hotel

Misleading as it does NOT have elevator. No housekeeping despite sign requesting it was put on door every day. The one garbage bin in bathroom used for feces was not changed.

Centrally located

Extremely small room. Lights were not working! They were later fixed

The location was okay. The area seemed safe. 24 hours check-in available. Wifi had a reasonable speed.

There were HAIR STRANDS on our pillows. The bedsheet and blankets did not smell fresh. It was so hard to sleep thinking about how unclean the beds were, but overall, the reality is you ger what you pay for.

Disappointing, unclean.

Placed in a room directly off lobby with a glass door, the light remained on all night. We were woken multiple times by people checking in and the man in reception on the phone. The room was very dirty. Pillows and bedding unclean with hairs on them. Very clearly had not been cleaned/washed. We slept on top of the bedding, on towels.

Cheap hotel room in the city, close to old town for the sights. Basic and clean, but great for somewhere to just sleep when visiting the city. Barging for the price ??

Had a bit of a funny smell when first entered the room but you soon got used to it! No lift so taking 2 suitcases to 4th level wasn't great.

Staff were friendly. Kept our baggage for the whole day after check out and let us use the restrooms.

Too bad we could not fill our water bottles; it was possible everywhere else we stayed in Vietnam.

The hotel is one of the worst places I have ever stayed, to the extent that it's kind of funny - my room was directly next door to a nightclub, which made me question whether I should just go out myself (which I eventually did), and the white walls and foam of the room gave the impression that an interrogator might come in to tazer me at any moment. All in all, the money I wasted on a night out at least prevented me from spending too much time here ??‍♂️

The hotel change my booking las minute and they send me an other hotel and this hotel the bathroom was terrible

Didn't go in expecting the world, when I book hotels generally I just want somewhere warm clean and dry to spend the night. I dont expect all modern stuff, loads of amenities, restaurant, and all that at all. However the room was dirty, items left out by I assume previous guest (hangers) implied no one tidied, and then dirt marks in places implied no one cleaned outside doing the bed.The worst part was the blanket provided. A thin summer blanket not at all suited to Hanoi in cold winter. I asked for another blanket and was told straight up, no, and then told to wear my coat to bed. Which I was already doing, but wearing my outdoor clothes to bed is not really what I should have to do. I was waking up in the night feeling cold. Awful experience. Blanket was so thin it was almost comical.Maybe if you come here straight from a cold country it's plenty warm? But if you already live in Vietnam then do avoid this hotel in winter.

Friendly staff speaking good English. The bed was comfortable and the room clean. Fridge and kettle were available. Poor hot water pressure an issue

The shared entrance is dark and offputting, but once inside it's modern, clean and bright. I don't know how often the bed cover is changed it looked a little grubby

I didn’t even stay because the room didn’t have hot water and the water pressure was really bad… in the photos it looks so much better than reality. The price really doesn’t match the quality

Nicely located affordable

No water provided, no elevator, no coffee, no breakfast BUT enough places to go to around the property. Paid an additional late check out my room (full night) but still had to leave the room at 6pm because it got booked

Distance to the centre was good, but adjacent to a busy road - we had a morning pick up there, so we booked it on purpose. Cleanliness was also fine. We only spent one night as it was a transit place. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Adjacent to a busy road - we wanted it it due to an early morning pick up there, so it worked for us, but it may be a but busy for some people. It’s also adjacent to a club, we didn’t hear the music as we we were on the highes floor, but I don’t know about the lower floors. Unfortunately no elevator, so if you end up in the highest floor like us, you’ll have to carry your luggage in your hands.

Very basic, but can’t fault anything, especially for the price! The room was tidy, it’s a great location and I loved the lady on the front desk (didn’t catch her name) but she was so chatty and lovely!

The staff were welcoming and friendly

The pictures on booking.com were NOT what I got!!!!It also said the room came with a view, look at the pics!If I knew there was NO lift and I was on the 4th floor I would not of stayed.I was not told that it was up to me to tell them to clean my room.The bed was like sleeping on a rock.There was mould all in the bathroom.The television did not work when stated it would with cable channels, it was eventually changed on day 3 but I still could not see the screen properly. There was no water, tea or coffee but for some reason there was a kettle with tiny cups and no spoons or bowls.If I had of known there was a nightclub right next door with music pumping untill 4am I would not have stayed.It said that the rooms are sound proof.....that's not the truth at all!

I like that the hotel staffs are very welcoming and approachable. They even offered discounted tours for our family but sadly we had booked tours already. I like that upon request to get a room on the ground floor, they have given us consideration. The room was very spacious. Peter even helped us contact the grab driver and spoke to him in Vietnamese when my niece left her ipad.

If only they had elevator. But that was ok coz they have granted out request.
